Kathy C., RN, MSN, FNP, DNP has been in healthcare for 20 years as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. She is a graduate of University of Texas at Austin, San Antonio College, University of New York at Stony Brook and Case Western Reserve University. 

Kathy has worked in many areas of nursing including cardiology, orthopedics, home health care, telephone triage nursing and family practice. Her focus is on preventive care with a healthy lifestyle, assisting patients to regain and maintain health.

When not working, she enjoys reading, gardening, swimming, and time with her family.

Marika H. RN, MA, ANP-BC has been in healthcare for over 20 years as a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner.  She is a graduate of City College, New York University, and La Salle University.

Marika has worked in many areas of nursing from inpatient neuro ICU, medical surgical nursing to community health nursing, and has taught nursing in a variety of health care settings. She is dedicated to working with the senior population. She enjoys assisting elders transitioning in the life cycle, and supporting families in their journey with their loved ones.

When not working Marika enjoys taking long walks with her 2 dogs, cooking with her husband, and raising two teenage daughters.

Kelly R. MSN, APRN, GNP-BC has been in Nursing health care for 15 years as a registered nurse and advanced nurse practitioner.  She is a graduate of The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, and is currently completing her Doctorate at The University of Massachusetts Amherst. 

Kelly has worked in many areas of health care from outpatient surgery, long term care, oncology/hematology, labor and delivery, infectious disease, and internal medicine.  She is dedicated to her specialty of Geriatrics.   She is very interested in preventative care and teaching her patients and family’s positive ways to achieve healthy outcomes. 

She is a dedicated mother spending as much time as possible with her family and dogs.  She enjoys reading, exercise, and the beautiful outdoors.    Her great passion and focus of dissertation is healthy living and longevity. 

Angelina S., RN, MSN, FNP-c has been in healthcare for nine years as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner.   She is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso.

Angelina has worked in home health, university health, and pain management.  She enjoys working with patients of all ages and abilities.  Her focus, however, has always been centered on preventive medicine.

When not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her daughter.

Lara C., RN, MSN, FNP-BC has been is healthcare for 17 years as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. She is a graduate of Texas A&M, UTMB- Galveston and the University of Colorado.

Lara has worked in many areas of nursing from outpatient family practice, rural health, psychiatric, ICU, oncology, cardiac but her passion is in the area of geriatrics. She enjoys helping her patients accept the transitions of the life cycle and supporting the family that takes that journey with their loved ones.

When not working, she enjoys travel, reading, and taking care of her growing, active children. 

My name is Alejandro Rios and I have been a nurse practitioner for two years. I received my bachelor's of science degree in nursing from New Mexico State University and my Master's degree in nursing from Graceland University.

I have always enjoyed helping others that is why I get great satisfaction in this profession. I have worked with all age groups as a nurse practitioner including primary care, pediatrics and pain management.

In my current position with Best Practice Disease Management, I believe we are making a difference in patient health and look forward to this continued success.

Angelina Silvas is a native El Pasoan.  She received her BSN from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2002.  More recently, in 2009, she graduated with her MSN with a Family Practice concentration.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Abby.
