E-mail Print PDF

Schedulers work as a member of our medical services team to support Nurse Practitioners and their Medical Assistants in the field. Our Nurse Practitioners visit patients in the home to provide health assessments and/or chronic condition management. The scheduler makes initial phone calls to the patient for scheduling the in-home visit. They also assist their field team with finding the patient's home, contacting patients the field team cannot reach and other tasks that may come up on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Call patients to schedule the in-home visits for our Nurse Practitioners in the field

• Assist practitioners in resolving any issues or situations they encounter that require home office support

• Survey patients concerning their in-home visit to determine their satisfaction level and document any ideas for improvement

REPORTS TO

Schedulers report up through the Medical Support Services Department of Operations.

SALARY/COMPENSATION

Schedulers are non-exempt employees paid on an hourly basis. For those working 32 or more hours per week, they are considered full time and are eligible for the BPDM employee benefits program.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Schedulers should have customer service or general office phone experience. Some markets require fluency in Spanish. Previous experience with a medical office or an insurance company is helpful but not required.
